Woodcutting Levelling Tips:
- Level 1 - 15 should concentrate on cutting normal trees. The closer the trees are to a bank the better. Alternative members can take a knife with them and make arrowshafts to start raising their Fletching skill.
- Level 15 - 30 all players can cut Oak Logs. Again the closer to the bank you are the better.
- Level 30 - 60 most people will cut Willow Logs at Draynor Village Bank. This is an excellent area although can become crowded so I advise seeking out other Willow Tree locations that are relatively close to a bank.
- Level 60 - 99 Members can choose to cut Mahogany Trees at the Hardwood enclosure on Karamja. Although as there is no bank closeby it may be better to train your woodcutting in conjunction with your firemaking at this location.
- Level 60 - 99 All players can increase their levels will cutting Yew Trees. Members will have more locations available while non-members may find that the Yew Trees are usually crowded.
- Level 75 - 99 members may wish to cut Magic Trees and stock the logs for either fletching or sale.
Woodcutting Experience Tips:
- Willow Logs will give 67.5 experience each and as your woodcutting level increases the rate at which you cut the willow logs will increase. This is a very fast method of training woodcutting provided the area is not overcrowded.
- Mahogany cuts relatively quick for members and gives 125 experience for each log. The drawback is there is no bank closeby so combining your woodcutting with your firemaking training may be the best option here.
- Yew Logs will each give 175 experience although are not too quick to cut they will be a good source of income if used for your fletching or sold to other fletchers.
- Magic Tree logs give 250 experience each although they can take a while to cut.
Runescape Woodcutting Money Making Tips:
- Yew logs are always in demand and can fetch between 250gp - 300 gp each in bulk easily.
- Magic Logs can easily fetch 1000gp each and are normally always in demand from someone. If you can't find anyone to buy the logs, you can always use them yourself for your fletching skill.
Other Runescape Woodcutting Tips:
- A Dragon Hatchet and Rune Hatchet have the same woodcutting speeds.
- Always use the best hatchet you can for your woodcutting level to be able to cut the trees more efficiently.
- Always try and cut trees close to a bank so that you can quickly bank the logs for later use.
- Cutting lower level trees may gain you quicker experience than higer level trees, although the higher level tree may provide more income. It is a balance between levelling and earning money. Your decision.
- Axeman's Folly will give your woodcutting skill +1 boost for a short time.
